Chancellor Gary S. May has appointed the recruitment advisory committee for this position that is being vacated by Ralph J. Hexter, who has held the post since 2011 and announced recently that he will step down at the end of the 2019-20 academic year.
The recruitment advisory committee is chaired by Kristin Lagattuta, professor, Department of Psychology and Center for Mind and Brain, and chair of the Davis Division of the Academic Senate; and Michael Lairmore, dean, School of Veterinary Medicine. The committee also includes other academic administrators and faculty members; the vice chancellor of Finance Operations and Administration; the chair-elect of Staff Assembly; and the presidents of the ASUCD and Graduate Student Association.
