“Students are at the forefront of a movement for social justice, diversity and equity. As a member of the ASUCD Ethnic and Cultural Affairs Commission I’ve been been able to try to work towards this goal by organizing a series of events dedicated to community-building so students understand the importance of unity and taking action together,” said Rina Singh, fourth year triple-major in international relations, economics and Italian. “I’ve been able to put together resolutions to support several student groups on campus and stand in solidarity with them. Being surrounded by peers who are this committed — who are this passionate — about achieving a society where diversity and equity are a reality inspires me for the future.”
