Stronger Together.

The City of Davis, Yolo County and UC Davis have partnered to create Hate-Free Together, a community call-to-action campaign to end hate incidents and prioritize the well-being and safety of all residents. Leveraging the collective strength of local residents and businesses along with public agencies, the goal is to break the cycle of hate and restore the culture of Community. Read the press release and statements from Yolo County Supervisor Don Saylor and Davis Mayor Lucas Frerichs.

“The partnerships we harnessed to great effect during the pandemic taught us that we are all stronger together. In this case, rather than COVID-19 being the virus, hate is the virus we’re trying to eradicate. We intend to use our collective power to condemn violence and bigotry in all forms.”

We each make a difference.

Advocacy takes time and we want to bring everyone to the table. Not just people who are already boots on the ground but also those who have not yet stepped foot on the path to inclusion and change. We want to do things right, not fast. We appreciate your patience as we work on the framework and get this campaign going. The Hate-Free Together website is coming soon, until then please feel free to peruse and look through some of these resources, including sharing your comments and signing up for updates. Thank you.
