Bio

Mike Kourey brings extensive experience guiding technology companies through transformational growth, having served in leadership roles at several major technology firms and spearheading five IPOs (NASDAQ: OKTA, NYSE: RNG, NASDAQ: ARUN, NASDAQ: RVBD, NASDAQ: PLCM). He has focused primarily on enterprise application software, cybersecurity, networking, customer experience, and communications intelligence. He most recently served as CFO of Dialpad, an AI-driven communications intelligence company, where he continues to be instrumental in driving its significant growth as a board member. He previously held multiple executive roles, including CFO of Okta, Vlocity (acquired by Salesforce), and Medallia, as well as a partner at Khosla Ventures and, previously, as CFO of Polycom.

Mike has been CFO for over 60 public quarters and, as audit chair or member, for approximately 100 public quarters thus far. In addition to five IPOs, Mike has extensive buy-side and sell-side M&A experience – public, private, domestic, and cross-border. Through his tenure, Mike has been involved in value-creation of tens of billions of dollars across multiple companies.

Mike is currently audit chair and board member of Navan, the leading global travel and expense management solution; audit chair and board member of Illumio, the Zero Trust Segmentation company; audit committee, compensation committee, and board member of Dialpad; board member of Medable, a leading provider of clinical development technology; and board member of Ohalo, an agricultural technology company.

Mike is a member of the Board of Trustees at Villanova University and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. Mike has periodically guest lectured at several leading universities, including UC Davis, Stanford, Harvard, and UC Berkeley.

Mike received his MBA from Santa Clara University in 1986 and his BS in Agricultural and Managerial Economics from UC Davis in 1981. He met his wife at UC Davis in 1980, and they have 3 grown children and reside in Danville, California.
