Executive Director, Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts
Jeremy Ganter became the Executive Director of the Mondavi Center in November 2023. He has served as the performing arts curator and an arts administrator for more than 20 years.
Ganter began his career in presenting performing arts as part of the UC Davis team that launched the Mondavi Center in 2002. He played a critical role in the development and implementation of the center’s now nationally acclaimed presenting program and has served as Director of Programming and Associate Executive Director since 2006. Ganter’s programming reflects a special commitment to interdisciplinarity, jazz, modern dance, cultural expression, and developing young talent.
Notable projects include producing five biennial contemporary music festivals with the Department of Music, a symposium on Indigenous arts produced with Native American Studies, a two-year project exploring the performing arts of India, and Imagining Sound, which showcased UC Davis’ cutting edge research at the intersection of neuroscience and art.
Ganter is an advisor to Ballet Hispanico’s Instituto Coreográfico, which supports the professional development of emerging Latinx dancemakers, and has served on the boards of the Western Arts Alliance and California Presenters. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in music history from the University at Albany and a master’s in U.S. history from UC Davis.
