Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Croughan announced that Helene Dillard, dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, will continue leading the college as the nationwide search for her successor continues. Dillard announced in November 2023 that she would retire in 2024 from UC Davis after 10 years of service. 

“I am deeply grateful to Helene for her enduring leadership and her great passion for UC Davis,” said Croughan. “We are very fortunate she will remain in her role until we identify the next dean to build on the incredible work she has done over the last decade. The impeccable reputation of our students, faculty, and staff, along with this college’s top ranking, will certainly attract an exceptional leader for this role.”
