Chancellor’s Statement on Sacramento City College President Michael Gutierrez

Chancellor Gary S. May issued the following statement today (Aug. 14):

We were saddened to learn that Sacramento City College President Michael Gutierrez sustained major injuries during a crash on Highway 50 in West Sacramento on Monday morning, while on his way to the college’s satellite campus in West Village.

We extend our heartfelt support to President Gutierrez, his family and to all of the students, faculty, staff and friends of Sacramento City College. Our entire UC Davis community wishes you well and stands ready to support you on the road to recovery.
