She joined the faculty at UC Davis in 1994 and is currently a professor in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology. She has been involved in the training of 22 clinical pathology residents and has taught on most of the continents. In addition, Mary extended her efforts through her work with Veterinary Clinical Pathology, where she served as Editor-In-Chief for 12 years from 1997 to 2009. During her tenure as Editor-In-Chief, she increased the value, impact, and readership of the journal; all of which continue to have many positive effects on the Society.

Mary has shown her dedication to disseminate knowledge through many avenues to reach a worldwide audience of students, residents, practitioners, pathologists, and technical staff. The Education Committee and the Executive Board of the ASCVP wish to thank and recognize Dr. Christopher for her service to our professional community.
