Dr. Millie Copara (she/hers) is a staff member on the Education and Career Development Team at the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center. She received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UC Davis and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Classics. She has been staff at UC Davis for 5 years as both a Junior Specialist Researcher and Program Specialist helping Ph.D. researchers navigate and explore careers outside of the tenure track faculty route. Millie is a fervent advocate for equity and inclusion, especially in education. She is a queer Latina immigrant from Peru who grew up undocumented and low-income. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Chancellor’s Committee for LGBTQIA+ Communities.
