UC Davis Annual Remembrance Ceremony

Honoring University Members Lost But Not Forgotten

The Annual Remembrance Ceremony honors the remarkable individuals of our university community who have passed. The reflective event is dedicated to paying tribute to these cherished members of our academic, staff and student community who have passed away during the previous year.

About the Remembrance Ceremony

The UC Davis Remembrance Ceremony is a time to come together in reflection, honoring the lives and contributions of those who have been part of our university community. It is a moment to acknowledge the lasting impact they have made and to celebrate their connection to UC Davis.

To keep the ceremony meaningful and manageable, we will honor current members of our university community, including enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students, active staff, faculty, academics, and emeriti faculty.

We understand that many others have had a profound influence on UC Davis, including retired staff, former students, alumni, volunteers, and donors. While they won’t be included in this ceremony, we deeply value their contributions. If you wish to share the passing of a former employee, please contact the Retiree Center. For alumni and donors, please contact Development and Alumni Relations.

Participate and Contribute

We invite all members of the UC Davis and UC Davis Health community, friends, family and members of the extended community to join us for this contemplative occasion. If you are aware of a student, staff, faculty or academic member who has passed away in the previous year and should be included in the ceremony, please submit this information through the online form.
