Three recommendations from the Sustaining Teaching and Research Task Force (START) are available on the START website for review and input. The recommendations were developed by START’s Increasing Our Research Excellence Committee, which is co-chaired by Vice Chancellor of Research Simon Atkinson and Distinguished Professor Emeritus Rick Grosberg, Department of Evolution and Ecology. The recommendations are: 

• Research Computing Oversight - Deadline for input is Jan. 15, 2025
• Centralized Funding for a High-Performance Computing Core Facility - Deadline for input is Jan. 15, 2025
• Campus Research CORES - Deadline for input is Jan. 15, 2025

The Increasing Our Research Excellence Committee is developing a range of other recommendations, as are the other five START committees. We anticipate distributing recommendations from the Future of Undergraduate Education Committee for review and input very soon.

Please note there are deadlines for submission of feedback next to each recommendation. 

Review Process

As a reminder, every recommendation will go through the review process outlined on the START website and will be sent to the Academic Senate for input and to determine which recommendations, if any, should go through the Request for Consultation process.
