Administrative Advisory Committee Applications Open

Dear Colleagues,

I am reaching out to encourage you to get involved in the campus community by applying for membership on a UC Davis Administrative Advisory Committee for the 2023-24 year. These committees provide an opportunity for all members of the campus—Academic Senate and Academic Federation members, staff, and undergraduate and graduate students—to participate in governance at UC Davis.

Applications are open now for the following committees:

  • Advising for Equity

  • Campus Judicial Board

  • Child and Family Care

  • Conflict of Interest

  • Council on Student Affairs and Fees

  • Course Materials and Services Fee and Miscellaneous Fees

  • Disability Issues

  • Media Board

  • Mondavi Center

  • Public Art Advisory

  • Staff Diversity

  • Status of Women At Davis

  • Transportation and Parking Services

It is important that all of the advisory committees have strong representation from all members of our campus community, so I sincerely hope that you will consider serving on one of them.

As a member of an Administrative Advisory Committee, you can ensure that your constituency's perspectives are well represented in the committee's recommendations to the administration. You can also help others understand your interests and concerns and, in turn, learn more about their views on campus issues.

Consistent with our Principles of Community, we aspire to create an inclusive community and, therefore, committee members are selected based on the interest of applicants coupled with a desire to have each committee reflect multiple dimensions of diversity—including, but not limited to, ethnicity, gender, campus affiliation and academic discipline—to inform administrative decision making.

An application form, a list of the committees with a brief description of their activities, and other information can be found at aac.ucdavis.edu. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, April 21.

Thank you in advance for your interest and your participation.

All the best,

Mary Croughan
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor
