New START Recommendations for Review and Input

Dear Colleagues,

I am reaching out to share the following updates from the Sustaining Teaching and Research Task Force (START):
  • Sixteen new START recommendations
  • One recommendation from the Student Success and Equitable Outcomes Task Force
START recommendations are a result of the work of more than 160 of our colleagues from across our campus. I am very grateful to everyone who is giving their time to serve as a member of START, from the task force to the committees to the working groups. Information and registration links for upcoming START town halls has been sent to all faculty and staff via email. 

I invite you to review the below recommendations and share your input through the feedback form on the START website or by emailing starttaskforce@ucdavis.edu. The recommendation review process can be found on the START website. The deadline to submit feedback on the latest round of recommendations is Friday, December 5, 2025.
